The Associate Directorwill provide strategic vision and programming that speaks to threedimensions of global citizenship education as outlined by UNESCO:attaining knowledge and critical thinking around global issues;cultivating empathy, respect, and a sense of interconnectedness acrossdiverse groups and perspectives; and empowering informed action towardthe building of a just and inclusive world. Role Responsibilities - Developprogramming to support the development of global citizenship and MHSgraduate competencies - Foster connections between domestic andinternational students - Support faculty in developing globalcitizenship competencies within the curriculum - Teach a globalstudies/cross cultural studies-themed course, or a course determined bythe needs of the academic program - Develop long term plan and oversee adomestic/international travel program that is sustainable and providesequitable access for students in collaboration with school leadership -Supervise and support the work of the International Student Advisor -Ensure that Miss Hall's is in keeping with best practices recognizedwithin the global education field Experience, Skills Abilities -Bachelor's degree in global/international studies or a related field;OR experience teaching topics related toglobal/international/intercultural subject areas - At least three yearsof teaching experience at the high school or college level - Experiencewith coordinating domestic and/or international trips - Experience withdeveloping and leading trainings/workshops - Able to communicateeffectively and engage collaboratively with colleagues and students -Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and to serving adiverse, global community - Commitment to the Miss Hall's SchoolMission and Core Values - Active engagement in community and campus lifeat MHS Additional Skills (Desired) - Fluency in a language in additionto English - Experience living and/or working abroad Please provide acover letter in addition to your resume Research has shown that women,trans, non-binary, and BIPOC individuals often do not apply for jobsbecause they perceive their qualifications as falling short of thelisted requirements, even when they may be sufficient.
