Job Overview
Liaise With: Principal Dimensional Control Tech / Sr. Dimensional Control Tech, Fabrication Foreman, Production Engineer, Drafting, Quality Inspectors and Certification Group.
Assist Sr. Dimensional Control Tech and carried out dimensional surveys on the fabricated structures including all fabrication interfaces.
Study applicable contract documents / standard codes and specific Dimension Control (DC) Procedure for the project. Understand the project requirements.
Ensure that latest drawings and calibrated equipment is used,
Co-ordinate with the Principal Dimensional Control Tech / Sr. Dimensional Control Tech and Dimensional Control Tech on discussing any non-conformance survey results.
Liaise with the fabrication foreman on any scheduled survey of structure.
Able to use all survey measuring equipment.
Able to use all methods surveying.
Able to do survey for all project and all stages.
Able to and understand to implementation of Codes and Specification.
Work with other discipline and department to required and reported during fabrication.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Assist Sr. Dimensional Control Tech for setting out primary control and establishment of a suitable control network. Review / perform the following surveys:-
Post-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan and as required by the governing specifications.
Pre-weld surveys for complex assemblies as may be required by the Fabrication Foreman and Operations Engineer.
Survey of miscellaneous assemblies as required.
Continuous Tide monitoring for Load-outs
Prepare Dimensional Control reports.
Maintain and update project's AFC drawing folders.
In case of non-conformance, report it to Principal Dimensional Control Tech or Sr, Dimensional Control Tech for generate an out of tolerance (00T) report
Pipe Mill: Responsible to check all of Can and Tubular.
Braces Rack: Responsible to check all of braces.
Pile Rack: Responsible to check of makeup Legs, Piles, caisson, buoyancy tank and everything related to jackets and decks.
Fabrication Shop / East Shop: Responsible to check all of fabrication Shop and East Shop related to jackets or decks.
Pipe Shop: Responsible to check fabricates all of pipe spools.
Deck Area / Erection: Responsible to check all of
Assemblies and erection which related to all of decks
Calculation of footprint, lay out footprint, lay out quarter, reference and datum lines, calculation geometry of deck, calculation and survey for all of component of deck.
Load out of Decks.
Control Station
Settlement survey.
Lampson position and monitoring.
Jacket Area / Erection. Responsible for all of Projects for:
Control Station.
Assemblies and erection which related to all of jacket.
Calculation of footprint, lay out footprint, lay out quarter, reference and datum lines, calculation geometry jacket, calculation and survey for all of component of jackets.
Load out of jackets.
Settlement survey.
Lampson position and monitoring.
Marine and Yard Facility:
As per order by Marine Base staff and Yard facility staff.
High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conduct.
Able to use all survey measuring equipment.
Able to use all methods surveying.
Able to do survey for all project and all stages.
Able to and understand to implementation of Codes and Specification.
Work with other discipline and department to required and reported during fabrication.
Able to operate Auto Cad and use calculation program MK3B.
Able to operate measuring Equipment, Auto Level and total station.
Essential Qualifications and Education
3-year Diploma in Technical Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
3+ years' experience in surveying
Good Knowledge in Surveying Instruments
Computer Literate: Auto CAD
