The Associate Benefits Professional 2 will be integral to enhancing the company's position as a leader in health and well-being. In partnership with the Well-Being and Benefits team, the incumbent will create written and digital content, talking points and targeted messaging for the Well-Being and Benefits team to be used for presenting to internal audiences. Additionally, the Associate Benefits Professional will collaborate with internal communication teams to implement and lead a robust digital and cohesive response communications strategy for the Well-Being and Benefits team.

As part of the Associate Well-Being Benefits team, this individual will create meaningful written and verbal communication and consultation in support of and lead team-based efforts to address business issues and achieve well-being and benefit goals.

A successful candidate would have experience in:

Familiarity with benefit terminology and processes.

Communication/writing

Leading reviews of benefit materials and documents.

Experience in developing newsletters for large teams.

Public relations/customer service responsiveness

Sentiment trend analysis and reporting

Major features and expectations:

Accountable for social media engagement and follow up.

Responsible for hosting a listening stream to gather associate sentiment and report trends to leadership and vendor partners.

Will serve as POC for Town Hall and other large meetings to respond to benefits/well-being related questions

Will maintain and update FAQ documents supporting programs and benefits.

Will review/assess external social media reporting channels (e.g. Glassdoor) for applicable benefits/well-being feedback.

This role will require evening and weekend support as necessary to manage the following work.

Must be fully accountable for understanding APA style and Humana branding guidelines, as will be designing and managing campaigns that support the employee brand.

Must be confident in data file management including acquisition, manipulation and segmentation, validation and distribution.

This role must be fully aware of the liability involved in this role. Associates may make changes to medical care of self or family members based on the expertise and responses from this position.

Must completely understand the inner workings of the health plan including eligibility, payor and plan network, vendor relationships, claims processing, performance guarantees and service level agreements.

Must be adaptable to change and pivoting based on needs, events and org. structure. Must be comfortable with instability and little direction.

Mailbox management:

Serve as point of contact for the different mailboxes that are used in the benefits and well-being team.

This would include response within 24 hours to associate inquiries, depending on the situation or triaging with partner teams to confirm completion.

Liability is important and responding within the quick turnaround time with accuracy.

Internal social media response responsibilities:

Serve as point of contact for the internal team related to internal social media responses. Responses are expected within 10 hours but would prefer same business day as possible in order to reduce call volume.

Responsible for tracking instances of trend across all internal social media groups and will be sharing over sentiment statements with leadership team regularly by formatting responses and themes in a digestible format.

Responsible for managing FAQ's and updating daily the as common questions are identified across all well-being and benefits programs. Would also be working very closely with HR4U on coordination of responses.

If associate situations are identified in internal social media groups, responsible for coordinating with HR4U and determining course of action. Again, liability is important here if guidance is incorrect.

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Partner with the well-being and benefits vendors to ensure connectedness in focusing on driving engagement and program participation. Create actions to evolve content and engagement strategies.

Accountable for the digital response strategy on Yammer representing Well-being and Benefits content.

Establish a listening stream for Humana associates to share insights and feedback and showcase trends to upper-level leadership.

Collaborate with internal communication teams to implement a communications strategy for the Well-Being and Benefits team.

Analyze key metrics and data points to identify targeted groups that may benefit from additional communication campaigns.

Provide Q/A real-time support for Town Halls and Team meetings.

Develop FAQ documents for programs and benefits to inform associate thinking.

Review external listening streams to compare internal trends.

Assembles and collaborates with cross-functional teams to conceive and implement enterprise initiatives, improved processes, enhance participation, monitor/reduce costs, and develop/track success metrics.

Leverages clinical expertise to address gaps in associate care, improve population health, optimize health plan outcomes, determine appeals and consistent coverage, and assess new technology and clinical programs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Familiarity with benefit terminology and processes.

3+ years professional experience with a variety of communication channels and methods

High energy, self-starter needing minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

Demonstrated experience in all Microsoft applications.

Demonstrated experience in analyzing trends and reporting outcomes.

Demonstrated experience in research and segmentation.

Demonstrated experience in customer service or public relations and able to pivot and respond quickly.

Demonstrated passion for contributing to Associates improving their well-being

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in marketing/promotion through Social Media.Additional Information

Work-At-Home Requirements:

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

* At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

* Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

* Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

* Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

* Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$63,400 - $87,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
