  We are currently hiring an Associate Analyst, Corporate Accounting based in our Head Office.

  As the Associate Analyst, Corporate Accounting you will support BCAA’s Finance team in their use of financial systems at BCAA. This role is responsible for balancing and reconciling foundational system inputs into the general ledger, forecasting, and reporting tools, thereby ensuring the completeness of the underlying data in BCAA’s financial reports.

  What you’ll do

  Coordinate and acquire data from diverse and disparate systems to support timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.

  Analyze and coordinate data to assist the Finance team (Corporate Accounting and FP&A) with interpretation of information impacting business accounts and internal controls.

  Collaborate with the Finance team by providing crucial data to facilitate and improve the decision-making process.

  Act as a liaison between Finance and the I.S. team to troubleshoot systems and reporting anomalies and perform root cause analysis of data integrity issues.

  Develop and prioritize the implementation of solutions for technology defects or operational improvements, in collaboration with I.S. and external vendors (eg. Deloitte Managed Services for Guidewire).

  In collaboration with I.S., provide systems maintenance oversight of all systems used in Finance (eg. Epicor, Concur, Adaptive Planning, etc.).

  Apply insights from internal business partners to improve and/or develop new reports and dashboards to aid in their decision-making.

  Assist with the automation of bank reconciliation-related items and improvements.

  Identify & implement operational improvements/enhancements to support the manager with decision-making.

  Ad-hoc projects as required.

  What you’ll bring

  Post-secondary Degree in Business/Commerce/Computer Science with a concentration in Finance/Accounting/ or Data Science.

  Prior co-op/internship experience in accounting/finance or data analysis/data science.

  Proven understanding of financial and management accounting concepts.

  Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.

  Currently pursuing continued professional development through the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation programs, or Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

  Bonus Skills:

  Prior exposure to a medium to large, multi-entity corporate reporting structure.

  Prior experience in a high transaction volume environment.

  The salary range for this position is $53,098.56 to $66,373.08  and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%
