Summary As an expert Project Manager, you will manage tasks, delivery orders, and contracts awarded on behalf of customer agencies. This office is responsible for the acquisition of products and services for federal customer agencies on a regional, national, and worldwide basis. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area of: Arizona (AZ), California (CA), Colorado (CO), Florida (FL), New Mexico (NM), Nevada (NV), Ohio (OH) Texas (TX), Virginia (VA), and Washington (WA). If you are selected for this position you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 45 days. At that time, you may be eligible to request to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy. Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Provides expert technical and acquisition guidance for requirements in the areas of Information Technology and Professional Services products. Acts upon worldwide customer agency requests for the acquisition/procurement of Information Technology and/or Professional Services products and services and provides unique or tailored acquisition plans/strategies to meet the agency needs. Develops relationships and partnerships with federal customers and industry to foster existing business relationships and establish new business opportunities. May serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR). If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is performing full life-cycle management of multiple acquisitions from pre-award through post-award and contract closeout for information technology (IT), non-IT professional services, federal research and development, or technology development areas. This experience includes: Developing and analyzing a wide range of complex pre-award requirements Reviewing and developing requirement and acquisition documentation Developing and implementing acquisition strategies Formulating and executing project schedules Monitoring contract performance and administering post-award contractual actions Leading multi-disciplinary project teams and collaborating with multiple project stakeholders Establishing new business opportunities by developing partnerships and networks with other federal agencies Providing exceptional customer service to external customers outside of the candidate’s organization Education Note: If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education.
