As the Mortgage Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of mortgage sales professionals and act as a, or conducts the sales responsibilities of a, mortgage loan originator. Provide day-to-day coaching and development to the mortgage origination staff and ensure the mortgage lending department meets organizational, financial, operational service, and achieves production goals established annually by senior leadership. Establish and maintain referral source relationships and collaborative partnerships to promote the Credit Union and growth of member relationship and additional product sales from various external and internal sources. Accountable for leading the business development strategy for external and internal loan production, and have a positive and substantial impact on the Credit Union. As a leader you will be committed to providing continued employee development and engagement initiatives that inspire direct staff, provide world class member services, and deliver upon the mission and core values of the Credit Union.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships to serve as are recurring source of external referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities for self and sales team with strong attention to reputation management.Sponsor, attend, and actively participate in local realtor/builder industry related events, meetings, committees, trade shows and expositions to further develop business contacts, expand referral network, attract new mortgage business and retain/grow existing business.Regularly conduct in-office visits and make sales presentations to promote mortgage products and services.Maintain personal production and achieve individual loan productivity goals.Initiate the residential mortgage process for potential members, prepare, analyze, verifying mortgage loan applications for the purchase or refinance of real estate, and originate first and second mortgages by soliciting new residential mortgage business primarily from external sources and secondarily internal sources.Identify, develop, and monitor changes in member needs for initial and supplemental loan opportunities that provide a continuous mortgage solution.Engage with other member facing departments to recognize additional lending opportunities.Collaborate with mortgage leadership team in driving continuous process improvement to enhance mortgage experience quality for all related parties.Regularly conduct credit union branch visits and make sales presentations to promote mortgage products and services.Monitor mortgage productivity and loan originator pipelines to ensure timely processing, underwriting, and closing of loans while delivering an outstanding member experience within company loan policy.Provide timely follow-up communication with members after loan closing to ensure ongoing member satisfaction is maintained.Assist in resolving any complaints.Conduct regular coaching sessions that identify, discuss, and solve issues/suggestions from staff. Implement any new projects and/or modification resulting from coaching sessions.Maintains a thorough understanding of company loan policies, procedures, and guidelines for efficient production.Empowers origination staff with knowledge and support to be successful, yet accountable for performance.Drive a high-quality culture and set the expectation of continuous improvement.Provides regular performance feedback, individual direction, and coaching needs for sales team.Complete annual performance reviews and quarterly feedback sessions for staff.Actively participate in the discovery, implementation, and successful launch of all new technologies, products, and services.Lead best practice initiative in areas that directly impact sales, marketing, origination, and the overall member experience.Assign duties accordingly, that provides a collaborative experience which will educate and develop sales team.Lead recruiting initiatives for high performing mortgage sales professionals for the department in collaboration with Human Resources.Responsible for assuring that appropriate training is conducted for new hires with performance benchmarks that will measure and set expectations for a successful partnership between employee and credit union.Ensure all functions are in complete compliance with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations to include, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Home Mortgage Disclosures (HMDA), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and Military Lending Act (MLA). EXPERIENCE
8 years mortgage lending experience plus 2 years leading and managing teams of mortgage professionals.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
This level of knowledge is acquired through completion of a required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Business Administration or related field. A Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration and State Licensing are also required. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
