KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) has a new full-time opening for an Assistant Project Manager in our Corporate Office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Working with other managers and field coating inspection personnel, this entry level professional will help us grow our employee-owned company by successfully managing coating inspection projects, ensuring client satisfaction, and pursuing and developing new business opportunities. This position is open to all candidates with the following qualifications:

　　Education and Experience :

　　Recent graduates with a B.S. degree in Engineering or similar and/or 5 years coatings industry-related experience are preferred.

　　Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

　　Business development and client care skills are highly desirable.

　　  Knowledge/Abilities/Skills :

　　Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent telephone techniques.

　　Strong computer skills; proficiency in Word and Excel.

　　Must be able to motivate employees, foster teamwork, and delegate responsibilities.

　　Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks independently; excellent organizational skills.

　　Self-starter and work on own with little direction.

　　Knowledge of surface preparation, coating application, and industrial painting operations is required.

　　Physical Requirements :

　　Close, distance, and depth vision and ability to adjust focus.

　　Ability to work in confined spaces, and walk on uneven terrain.

　　Ability to climb ladders and high structures (150 ft. or more)

　　Ability to hear, wear a respirator, and safely lift 25 pounds.

　　Willingness to travel (predominantly in the tri-state area) and work outside (including inclement weather)

　　You will know you have been successful when within 12 months you have:            

　　Acted as the client manager to existing customers by ensuring timely delivery of KTA’s services within the scope and budget of the project. Provided a positive customer experience that will help to secure a stable backlog of work;

　　Assisted in preparing winning proposals to support future workloads;

　　Established and maintained an efficient methodology for managing the field inspectors along with developing good working relationships with them.
