About Assistant Principal - Propel Northside School

  Opportunity:

  Propel Schools seeks an Assistant Principal to join our team at Propel Northside School. At Propel we believe Assistant Principals are core to the transformational process of education.   This is a full-time, year-round position.

  Compensation: Propel provides a competitive salary for Assistant Principals. Based on relevant prior work experience, our salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. Relocation Allowance: A relocation allowance for new hires moving to the area from 60 miles away or further. Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision plan options at a low cost for individual employees and families. Retirement: New hires participate in a 403(b); Propel contributes 5% automatically and matches up to 4%. This increases after 5 years. Paid Leave: In addition to 16-19 paid holidays annually and 2 paid Wellness Days per year, all Assistant Principals receive 5 sick days and 10 Personal Days. Assistant Principals will also accrue 6 hours of vacation time per pay period. Tuition Assistance: Reimbursement of up to $3,000 annually upon completion of course and receipt of grades for coursework that meets our eligibility requirements. Wellness Benefit: Reimbursement of $20 per month for wellness activities including Gym Memberships, health programs, etc. Additionally, staff have the ability to earn up to $300 for participation in a Wellness Program each year.Professional Development: At Propel, we believe in supporting staff growth and provide substantial school-based and network-wide professional development support for all staff. Assistant Principals participate in and lead Professional Development for all staff throughout the school year. Leadership & Career Development: Leadership opportunities are extensive at Propel, both in and outside of the classroom. There are opportunities for additional school-based leadership roles.

  Provide instructional leadership by coaching, developing, and evaluating teachers through observation, modeling, analyzing data, and co-teachingSupport teachers with classroom management and disciplineModel Propel's core values and set the standard for professional behaviorAre highly present and visible during school hours to ensure a positive school culturePlan and lead professional developmentManage logistics for school-wide assessmentsCollect and analyze student achievement data and using data to drive recommendations for instructionAssist the Principal in developing and enforcing systems of accountability for staffAssist the Principal and Talent team in teacher recruitment, hiring, and terminationCollaborate with Principal on budget preparation and monitoringCollaborate with the Principal to develop, implement, and monitor a school-wide culture plan that includes routines and expectations for students and staffAddress parent concerns and communicationBuild and maintain existing relationships with community stakeholdersAct on behalf of the Principal and School on school-wide issuesWork closely with the Principal on day-to-day school-wide issues and represent a united school leadership teamReport directly to the Principal and Senior Director

  Physical Demands:

  Must be able to walk around the classroom at least 75% of the time while engaging with scholars.The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other technology in the classroom to support instruction.The person in this position frequently communicates with various internal and external stakeholders regarding curriculum, instruction and assessment. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsWhen deemed age and/or developmentally appropriate, assist students in daily personal tasks (i.e.-tying shoes, assisting with coats, escorting to busses, and etc.)
