POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager of Global Communications works closely with the TOM FORD BEAUTY Global Communications and Experiential Director to ensure that the Regions have the best strategy and tools to activate best in class communications launches. In addition, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the governance of monthly reporting, press releases, and press and influencer lists. This person is an integral member of the TOM FORD BEAUTY Global Communications team and will provide strong support to the regions. The role reports directly into the Director, Global Communications and Vice President, Integrated Global Communications.
PR STRATEGY
· 360 Launch Toolkits: Work with Global Communications Director to create best in class launch strategies; create big ideas to support new and existing launches.
MONTHLY REPORTING
· Oversee Coordinator to pull press clips and data from all Regions each month.
· Review and ensure that all information is correct in the monthly reporting template and share with Director for the Executive Summar.
· Analyze data as reported by regions and report back to broader team on noticeable patterns to help inform best practices i.e., impressions, EMV, SOV, etc.
· Manage the development and issuance of the monthly Earned Executive Summary.
BRAND COMMUNICATIONS
· Work with the Director to draft all media pitches, press releases, look books and other communications for the brand.
· Lead the consolidation of all information for press releases and streamline the press release sign off process.
· Upload look book templates to Wrike for creative to design once copy for press releases is finalized.
· Ensure that all communications are on the Adobe DAM for markets to easily access.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
· Create and lead the Intranet communications strategy, including new launches, events and TFB news.
· Manage communications across the departments for cohesiveness of “one team.”
· Conduct competitive industry intelligence reports to share internally.
· Work closely with Tom Ford International (TFI) to support and connect fashion and beauty.
MEDIA LISTS
· Work with Director and regions to build global influencer database that is representative of our global consumers and maintains brand identity.
· Align master global press and Influencer document with TFI.
· Lead in discovery of new international media opportunities and outlets.
REGIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage all monthly PR calls with Regional Marketing Managers and follow up on action items.
· Partner with international regions/markets to obtain detailed planning calendars for execution of PR programs.
· Review regionally proposed influencer lists for seeding, events, etc. ensuring that all proposed influencers are on-brand and represent the brand image; Share with Director for approval.
· Liaise with PR Managers from affiliates and respond to daily requests/questions from global markets, including queries of PR programs, information requests and Tom Ford interviews.
· Act as liaison between regions and TFI for relevant activations; Share relevant regional proposals with TFI for review and see process through to approval i.e., seeding which includes TFI accessories, influencer dressing via TFI, etc.
· Establish system to track global trends and planned response.
EDITOR REQUESTS/PRESS ASSET OR RELEASE REQUESTS
· Direct press and social requests to the relevant PR Manager.
· Manage any global editorial requests.
Qualifications
ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serve as a bridge between Director and Coordinator and manage Coordinator as it relates to relevant responsibilities i.e., product orders, press boxes, reporting.
· Escalate issues and approvals requiring larger scale initiatives as well as TFI involvement to Director.
· Support broader Experiential team with globally hosted events and attend North America hosted events to provide ad-hoc support as necessary.
· A self-starter with the ability to move projects forward with little supervision.
· Oversee Social Impact Programs (ID&E and Sustainability).
· Work with the Director of Communications to support crisis management initiatives.
· Support the Director of Communications with the updates of the PR Procedures & Guidelines Book.
· 3-5 years of experience in related field.
· Possesses the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of cross-functional and affiliate team members.
· Demonstrated ownership of programs; embraces big picture objectives and follows-through on details.
· Accountable and very organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects and prioritize.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional oral and written communication, who can well articulate needs and elevate issues.
· Flexible team player with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with agility and accuracy.
· Strong detail-orientation and project management skills.
· Experience with social media listening a plus.
· Luxury experience preferred.
· Undergraduate degree.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
