If you have experience managing emergency communications center operations and are interested in one of the best benefits packages in the area, please read on.Essential FunctionsHelp maintain appropriate staffing in the ECC to sustain a 24-hour 7-day-a-week operation including weekends, holidays, and university closings.Assist in facilitating the diagnosis and/or repair of the systems at any time as well as liaison with the vendors necessary to maintain continuity 24 hours a day.Oversee the use and maintenance of all law enforcement and non-law enforcement radio systems including Facilities Management, Parking, Clermont, Fire Inspectors and Alarm Technicians.Operate and maintain the Emergency Alert System (EAS) in the absence of the Manager.Operate the audio recording system which captures all radio and telephone traffic in and out of the ECC. Provide needed recordings to various administrative and investigative personnel as directed.Attend regular meetings with the City of Cincinnati's ECC and the Hamilton County ECC.Help to ensure that all policies and procedures as well as contractual agreements are met with the dispatching services provided to Cincinnati State.May serve as the assistant Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) to ensure that all department personnel adhere to all rules set forth by RCIC, LEADS, and NCIC.Assist the Manager in creating, maintaining, and updating ECC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Train staff on the SOPs and ensure adherence to departmental policy. Assist the Manager and the Communications Training Officers with establishing and maintaining a training curriculum for ECDs in all facets of their duties and responsibilities.Inspect the back-up ECC and notify the manager to ensure the center is always operational and ready for activation.May assist with monthly inspections of Public Safety departmental AED's.When necessary, perform duties of ECD. May perform various RCIC functions such as entering warrants, court notifies, and subpoenas.May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).Perform related duties based on departmental need.
