Summary You will serve as a Assistant Fire Chief in the Fire & Emergency Services for COMMANDER NAVY REGION EUROPE, Italy. Responsibilities You will prepare policy guidance in response to firefighter program related executive orders, public law, regulations, and agency requirements. You will present fire protection and prevention education or training to employees. You will review a fire department's infection control program to verify program meets applicable standards. You will use fire suppression systems (e.g., wet and dry sprinkler systems, deluge systems, carbon dioxide, dry chemical systems) to extinguish fires. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Monitoring training operations and personnel for compliance with principles, practices, procedures, and equipment used in training; 2) Administering training operations, services, and activities of the Emergency Management Programs; 3) Overseeing instructional systems development, testing and evaluation for training improvement; and 4) Directing principles and theories for fire suppression, fire prevention, detection, control and extinguishment.
