What You Will Contribute:
The Assembler - Level 2 is responsible for assembling parts according tospecified Work Instructions and/or Drawings and exhibits the ability toeffectively complete critical component assemblies. This position may berequired to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assemblytasks. Below are the additional duties and responsibilities:
Participate and Contribute to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costcontinuous improvement efforts.Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity,view work instructions and report completed work.Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders whenrequired for a specific job and make adjustments when needed onhis/her own.Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and whenneeded seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor.May be responsible for basic training of others in department.Use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools tocomplete assemblies.Safely use circular saws, deburring tools to complete modifiedassemblies. (Utility and Flow Only)Accurately use laser etcher, dot peen etcher and engraver tocomplete modified assemblies to customer specifications. (Utilityand Flow Only)Navigate through basic LX screens to identify Inventory requirementsand status as needed and utilize system as required to makeadjustments.Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to ensure a clean, safe, andefficient workplaceQualifications:
High School diploma or GEDAssociates Degree or vocational training preferred3 plus years of assembly experienceExperience with hand tools, blueprints, EDM, and grinder machinepreferredBasic computer skills including previous experience with an ERPsystem and Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detailAble to work effectively in a team environmentEnthusiasm and ability to work well in busy environmentGood attendance requiredMust be willing to cross trainCompetitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:
