Purpose of position
Perform repetitive and/or standard assembly/calibration operations of moderate complexity.
Essential functions
Under moderate supervision, receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments following established procedures.
Solve problems of limited scope.
Quality of work is verified by the assembler, and occasionally by another source.
May make accurate computer transactions to move product and work order through the system.
When needed, frequent contact with associates, supervisor and possibly engineering, sales, and production control requiring reporting and exchanging of information with interpretation, or expediting products.
Qualification and job requirements
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. (5 years of experience required in place of High School Diploma or GED.)
Experience required:
1 year experience as an assembler and the ability to identify and read the value of electronic components and read/understand simple production or engineering prints. Requires basic command of English, basic math skills, good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Basic knowledge of related practices, processes, policies and procedures. Operate numerous shop/test tools and equipment (with certification where applicable).
Other functions
May be assigned various projects and responsibilities, at the sole discretion of the VP Global Operations and President.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and work space restrictions.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally (never/occasionally/frequently) loud.
Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.
The employee must also be willing and able to travel by all forms of transportation.
