　　At a Glance

　　Legrand has an exciting opportunity for anAssembler Ito join the Starline Team in Reading, UK. The Assembler 1 manufactures and assembles a variety of configurations of mechanical and basic electrical assemblies used in electrical distribution systems.

　　What Will You Do?

　　Understand and follow all aspects of health, safety and risk management as set out by the company

　　Read and interpret shop drawings and wiring diagrams

　　Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units

　　Make electrical connections according to specifications

　　Assemble parts, and position, align, and fasten assemblies, subassemblies, using hand tools and power tools

　　Modify parts by drilling, tapping, countersinking, etc. machine tools, power and pneumatic hand tools.

　　Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly

　　Measure parts to determine tolerances, using tape measures and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers

　　Attach labels and mark identifying information on parts

　　Uses computer programs such as Syteline and eFlex regularly throughout the shift.

　　Undertake and complete all company mandated training

　　Qualifications

　　Required Skills

　　GSCE/NVQ or equivalent

　　Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

　　Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

　　Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

　　Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.

　　Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and wiring diagrams.

　　Ability to read standard tape measure.

　　Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.

　　Capacity to demonstrate retention of knowledge and products.

　　Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.

　　Proficient product knowledge.

　　Ability to demonstrate consistent high quantity completion while maintaining high quality products.

　　Personal Qualities/Behaviors:

　　Ability to demonstrate flexibility /versatility combined with initiative, drive and ability to meet deadlines (eFlex timings)

　　Good interpersonal skills
