Purpose:
Mosaic has been retained by Philip Morris International’s U.S. affiliate, Triaga Inc., to operate Triaga’s retail channels in the U.S. Mosaic is seeking an Area Manager, Brand Retail to provide in-store support and contribute to the advancement of a smoke-free future in Austin, Texas. As the Area Manager, Brand Retail you will be responsible in executing the commercial plan for launching smoke-free products to legal age smokers and nicotine users in a retail environment delivering best-in-class consumer experience through a team of Brand Retail Experts. The Area Manager, Brand Retail will plan and coordinate consumer activities leveraging on the brand retail infrastructure (stores, islands, pop-ups, mobile trailers), and in line with brand engagement strategy and business priorities.
The Area Manager, Brand Retail will manage a team of Brand Retail Experts responsible for creating awareness and understanding of smoke-free products to legal age smokers and nicotine users through relevant programs with the goal of converting legal age smokers and nicotine users to smoke-free products. The Area Manager, Brand Retail will also be responsible for store logistics (inventory management and sales reporting) as well as managing day to day operations in the store with a focus on retail store execution.
What you'll do:
Lead and manage recruitment for advisors as well as talent development and performance management processes for store team; Schedule and execute store team training and development sessions
Oversee store experts’ activity levels to identify areas of improvement and providing regular feedback and on-the-job coaching; Review on a regular cadence store’s NPS and evaluate individuals' performance through outlined KPIs
Manage store schedule (working hours and activities) and distributes to store experts monthly
Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports
Ensures compliance with all local and regulatory requirements and guidelines; Ensures all procedures and processes are communicated and executed consistently by team
Lead daily meetings to delegate responsibilities based on current priorities and focus for the store and monitoring weekly rotation of expert’s activities; Share daily store opening/closing tasks with appropriate store staff
Review on a regular cadence store’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) and evaluate individuals' performance through outlined KPIs
Organize the store’s stock and checks it regularly
Manage store budgets
Monitoring display of products and verify store cleanliness using store guidelines
Assist in placing and confirming product order; Inspect quality of the delivered merchandise and reports and ships back faulty products to the appropriate location
Qualifications
Who you are:
A minimum of 8 total years of Retail experience (at least 3 years managing a retail store and team)
Operational knowledge of retail and business systems (e.g. POS, inventory management, MS Office etc.)
Guidelines and approaches in the effective delivery of all store experiences through the different stages of the sales and after-sales process;
Key principles, processes and practice in store staff recruitment, talent management and performance and career development;
Local Brand Retail operational guidelines and SOPs and their application; - Key targets for NPS and store KPIs and the actions to take monitor and improve them;
Activities related to the monitoring, forecasting and order placement of the store’s stock
Relevant local labor laws and regulations to ensure effective store management;
Activities related to the execution of merchandising standards and display throughout the store;
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
Team player creating the right environment for collaboration amongst team and prioritizing individual development
Proven ability to deliver exceptional consumer experience and KPI targets
Lead by example and adapt to challenges whilst maintaining composure in a fast-paced retail environment
Strategic mindset using data to analyze and solve problems for store effectiveness
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
