PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Operates commercialsprayer or floater for the purpose of applying crop inputs to producerfield. In addition, operates and maintains single or tandem axle trucksand other equipment. Performs all job functions in a timely and accuratemanner to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation andprofitability of the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Applies cropproduction inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommendedrates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels. Recordsapplication data according to regulations and standards. Sets upmaterial handling, blending, storage, transport and applicationequipment for blending and delivery of products. Blends productsaccording to recommended rates and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge ofand the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandemaxle trucks and other equipment to meet company and DOT standardsPerforms and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) andassociated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such aschecking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safelyon/off trucks, trailers, or railcars. Ensures products are evenlybalanced and distributed on trucks/trailers and proper axle weights aremet. Responsible for the inventory control and turns in applicationrecords on a daily basis. Assures all product is accounted for witheither an invoice or delivery ticket. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Responsiblefor maintaining, repairing, rebuilding, and/or servicing locationequipment, vehicles, and structures as needed Collects/records soilsample information using proper procedures.
