POSITION OBJECTIVE
Under general direction, oversee portions of Case Western Reserve University's Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems with specific oversight of the Admissions CRM (currently the Technolutions' Slate Admissions and Enrollment system) with a primary focus on Graduate and Professional programs. Shape and lead the application of Slate governance, strategy, roadmap, and projects. Assign, instruct and evaluate work of assigned staff, communicate with school/college business owners and university stakeholders regarding Slate CRM projects and manage vendor relationships. Sets own goals and determines how to accomplish results with few or no guidelines to follow. Also, provide leadership to the school admissions system captains in relation to project management, system needs assessments, system updates and policies, providing guidance and assistance with system issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work with stakeholders to determine the strategic direction of the Slate application and manage the process and business model changes required to ensure success. Provide streamlined solutions to support end-users in Slate and serve as Co-captain. Oversee development, architecture, implementation and maintenance of the Slate application. Manage prioritization of projects, track key milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources as needed. Coordinate efforts of cross-functional teams, work with departments to ensure solutions align with university enterprise standards and goals. Work with developers, architects and business systems analysts to review detailed, complex designs. As part of overall Slate Governance, establish, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, regularly interact with functional groups within the university to communicate and clarify the Slate application capabilities and stakeholder expectations. Ensure broad communication of the Slate program statuses. Manage vendor relationships and participate in contract negotiations. Recommend items for inclusion in the departmental budget. Work with UTech VP of Administration & Finance to assure the cost of the system is distributed appropriately. (50%)Design, develop, deliver and maintain high-quality, high-impact enterprise application solutions. Propose viable solutions to business problems/requests which take into account end-to-end processes. Work with stakeholders in order to collect, document, implement and maintain business and system requirements. Define and scope projects for application solutions; follow project management standards and software development lifecycle methodology (SDLC). Create and maintain technical and operational documentation (including application architecture diagrams, detailed design documents, process flows, system requirements and business requirements). Ensure system availability and compliance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and any regulatory guidelines. (30%)Provide leadership and mentoring of direct reports, project teams and system stakeholders. For direct reports, lead recruitment, orientation, training, goal-setting efforts; provide professional development opportunities and performance feedback. Ensure cross-functional collaboration. Provide guidance and direction for the customer education and training in support of the Slate projects. Recognized as an expert in Slate CRM, serves as a resource to IT and the university community. Participate in educational programs and activities related to industry trends/advances in the Slate applications.
