Reporting to the Senior Outreach Program Manager, the CS Pathways Application Reader for Summer Residential Program's primary role is to evaluate application materials thoroughly and holistically, helping to enroll a diverse student population for the program's 2024 CS Scholars and AI Scholars cohorts. Application Readers are responsible for identifying applicants for each summer program who will ultimately form a dynamic cohort of leaders, problem solvers, critical thinkers, community connectors, and innovators. Most importantly, a Reader's equitable and intentional efforts will ensure both CS Scholars and AI Scholars achieve the goal of creating more equitable pathways for all students to study computer science and artificial intelligence.
Readers will work approximately 10 - 20 hours per week. Training will be scheduled, and following training, reading hours are flexible within the context of the Reader's schedule. Additionally, Readers and team members are expected to attend a mandatory weekly review session to discuss potential applicants. Hours may increase up to between 25 - 30 hours per week during the final two weeks of March, depending on the flow of application submission.
