The Application Engineer is responsible to develop, validate, and shelf new Chain Products following Morse Global Engineering Procedures and Processes (ESO Process, Global Design Guide, ...); supports Application Engineers to meet customer technical requirements on chains.
Design of product to meet specification and packaging constraints.
Define product requirements
Coordinate the design activity with Designer for analytical calculations, statistical analysis, stack ups etc
Prepare, review and update the DFMEA
Prepare, review and update the Design Validation Plan and Release (DVP&R)
Coordinate the validation activities planned in the DVP&R
Coordinate the prototypes build and validation
Organize and host Engineering Sign Off (ESO) meetings
Attend Design Manufacturing Reviews
Lead or support DFMEA and DVP&R reviews with customers.
Support analysis of prototype parts for functional performance and/or failure modes as well as parts diagnostics on customer vehicles/engines.
Knowledge & use of problem solving techniques for failure investigation and root cause analysis – 8D, FTA, Six sigma etc
Release design for various program phases in conformance with product design guidelines and Product Development Processes.
Work with Manufacturing & Quality group to take trails for new products and support for launch of new products
Identify new concepts that address weaknesses within our current product portfolio or technology roadmap.
Plant product support for improved quality, manufacturing efficiency or design cost reductions.
Should be able to work and co-ordinate for a project with multinational working group
