About Application Engineer II (Clean Energy)

  DUTIES: Providing technical and project support in the area Clean Energy Solutions including wireless sensing, electrification, autonomous vehicles. Provide technical support to our customer base, including tier 1 suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers during pre-Request for Quote and RFQ, and advanced development projects. Act as the main local technical interface; Work with other teams to ensure the company’s roadmap is well aligned to future megatrends, particularly relating to vehicle electrification and propagation of wireless technologies; Capture technical and project requirements and ensuring products are developed according to our customers’ needs; Plan, prepare and conduct pre-RFQ and RFQ workshops with our customer base; Translating the customer product expectations and requirements into effective product demonstrations; Prepare, conduct, document, and assess system level testing; Provide Marketing and Business Development teams with technical intelligence including market benchmarks and technical presentation material; Maintain tight links with internal R&D and customer engineering teams to ensure our Marketing & Sales organization is always updated on all relevant technical and project developments and status.

  50% domestic and international travel required

  REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience developing Electrical Systems within controls design development. Experience to include: 1 year applying and developing wireless systems and sensor technology or applying and developing electrification and battery management technology; a minimum 2 years designing hardware and software for Electrical Control Systems; 2 years managing battery systems and electrification; and 2 years designing and building hardware and software for system demonstrations.

  OTHER (WORKSITE): 1960 Research Drive, Suite 100, Troy, MI 48335; Hybrid work from home schedule permitted 2-3 days/week within a reasonable commuting distance to the office located at 1960 Research Drive, Suite 100, Troy, MI 48335; 40 hours/week
