Purpose: DTI is seeking a ALC, DB2 Programmer SME Role Description: As an ALC, DB2 Programmer SME, you'll be leading development in mainframe environments, focusing on ALC and DB2 programming for IRS's IT modernization. The duties may include analyzing requirements, identifying solutions, participating on teams, writing code and programming the software so that it performs in accordance with the identified solution and adheres to any necessary specifications for the assigned application. Responsibilities require testing of the designed software solution and the removal of any identified bugs or malfunctions. Competent in subject matter and concepts and may lead individuals to assist in the work. Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using ALC and DB2. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor junior programmers. Spearhead ALC and DB2 development projects, demonstrating expertise in system architecture and database management. Innovate and improve legacy systems, ensuring alignment with modern IT practices. Mentor and develop a team of programmers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Strong leadership and project management skills in a mainframe environment. Advanced training or certifications in database management and system architecture. Requirements: Minimum 7 years of intensive experience in ALC and DB2 programming. Bachelor's Degree or an additional 4 years of experience. U.S. Citizenship required. Must be current on tax filings.
