The Aircraft Records Specialist invests in the future of Southwest's People in their support to Technical Operations Employees throughout the Southwest Network. Southwest operates the largest Boeing 737 fleet in the world, and this Specialist works primarily with Maintenance Employees and Leaders in Paine Field, WA (Seattle Area) to support issue management for real-time impacts to the operation, component control, data corrections, incoming component integrity, and part tracking paperwork in support of 14CFR 121.380. The Aircraft Records Specialist is excited about the opportunity to work collaboratively and play an important role in Southwest providing safe and hospitable travel to all of our Customers.Additional Details:U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.We continue to look for opportunities to reflect the communities we serve, and welcome applicants with diverse thoughts, backgrounds, and experiences.ResponsibilitiesActs as a resource for real-time resolution of operational issues including but not limited to: error correction in CDCS for locked aircraft, incorrect part removal, incorrect serial number removal, removed part not matching inventory, manufacturer serial number not matching inventory, inventory not in system, part/serial installed on different aircraft, unserviceable inventoryCoordinates with other Records Teams to escalate unresolved requests to appropriate team for timely resolutions based on needed expertise or authorityAssists with research and document gathering with Fleet Transactions for lease returns, retirements, or scrapped aircraft.Assists with testing new Technology software updates for functionality and guidance in developing training materialsReviews reports for missing paperwork from Maintenix to upload into SIS/Airvault in order to manage the solution and correctionPer Leaders request may be called upon to complete high level/sensitive projects or research for the Imaging TeamMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee's LeadersKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to learn, gain knowledge, and understand aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance, MPM procedures and Records training procedures or entry level knowledge of a record and retention tracking systemAbility to learn and gain knowledge of MPM procedures and internal guidance to perform role successfully and timelyAbility to facilitate phone calls and requests and determine what the need is.
