The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of assembly tasks on the 787 line, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The role involves working with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts and assemblies, as well as conducting necessary inspections and tests. Candidates should have a background in composite aircraft assembly and be proficient in various manual and automated assembly operations.Key Responsibilities:Execute assembly and installation of structures, sub-assemblies, and components following blueprints, changes, specifications, and work orders.Conduct data gathering transactions to facilitate assembly progression.Set up and perform manual and automated assembly operations, including portable machine functions.Perform pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing, and checks during or after final assembly.Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies as required.Utilize precision measuring instruments to accomplish work assignments.Report and investigate job handicaps, errors, and discrepancies in parts, assembly procedures, tools, and sequences.Move products within the manufacturing work area, using shop-assigned equipment as necessary.Adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing steel-toed shoes/boots in designated shop areas.Ensure compliance with dress code regulations to avoid accidents and injuries.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (A&P license is not a requirement).Previous experience working on composite aircraft is essential.Ability to pass the Plate Test and work with blueprints.Flexibility to work any shift as needed.Prohibited from applying if the candidate has worked for BOEING in the past 12 months.Additional Information:Training will take place in Wichita, KS.Weekly per-diem ($1330) is available for those who qualify.Pay range: $34/hr. - $37/hr. BOEAssessment Process:Paper test.Set countersink depth in a practice scenario.Install three fasteners (1 Hi-Lite, 1 Countersunk Hi-Lite, and 1 Countersunk Rivet) within one hour.
