  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs part of this role, you will have the important task of overseeing the execution of the Bureau of Air Quality programs in the Southeast Region. Your responsibilities will include determining which facilities will require emission inventories and assign to staff for data collection, computer input and error correction. Additionally, you will be supervising and monitoring the activities of the Air Quality Specialists in this region, as they conduct compliance inspections, investigate complaints, review emission inventory and compliance reports, and as they carry out any other assigned duties.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 day a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  Two years of experience as an Air Quality Specialist; orOne year of experience as an Air Monitoring Program Supervisor; orThree years of professional work in the control and abatement of air pollution and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or an environmental field closely related to Air Quality Management; orAn equivalent combination of experience and/or training.Necessary Special Requirement:This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
