Your Role
As the Air Logistics Controller, you will be a business partner to the Air Logistics VP. You will play an integral role in the management and support of the business unit including Air Operational and Revenue Care departments. You will act as the Air Logistics business partner to provide financial expertise, strategic development support and collaboration and robust risk assessment, to drive and challenge sustainable, profitable growth whilst ensuring financial and KPI health. To ensure financial transactional accuracy and adherence to ICS compliance and Kuehne+Nagel Guidelines. You will be responsible for providing accurate forecasting and pro actively improve business unit processes and efficiencies. You will report to the National Controller.
Your Responsibilities
Responsible for the control, monitoring and adherence to ICS (internal audit controls) and corporate policies and guidelines
Independently process month end closing to ensure accurate revenue, GP and cost recognition, with minimal losses
Collaborate with the business unit, OCC / RCC departments to ensure financial integrity of the monthly results
Analyze financial reports and KPIs such as unacknowledged items, customer ageing; deferrals and support business to ensure improvement and actions taken
Business Investment Applications
Provide guidance and training on internal guidelines, corporate policies and financial tools
Review customer and product profitability and monitor to mitigate / reduce loss making departments and customers with aim to turn profitable
Produce accurate BU forecast / target in conjunction with the business unit managers
Identify risks and sensitivities provide guidance and recommendations
Monitor continuously business development in terms of productivities, volumes and costs/challenge overspend, budget to actual
Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting regarding data quality, completeness and relevancy
Identify, recommend and support implementation of process improvements
Provide support and guidance to the business for commercial and strategic decisions
Collaboration to provide enhancements; improvements; troubleshooting problems and synergies
Collaborate with NAM Controlling to ensure best practice

Your Skills and Experiences
Diploma/Degree in Business or Finance Bachelor’s
5+ years’ experience in accounting and / controlling environment
CMA or CPA designation required
Experience in logistics, freight forwarding environment is an advantage
In depth understanding of financial and accounting concepts
Ability to identify cost savings, simplify and improve processes, implement efficiency gains and measure and report on key indicators
Flexibility to travel frequently to support the Canada National operations
