　　Salary: $19-20/hr.

　　Hours: 1 st shift

　　Summary

　　The Air Import Associate will assist the company in shipping and receiving inventories in international business transactions. They will be working closely with the company’s customs brokers, warehouse staff, shipping companies and clients assisting with shipping, receiving and record keeping for domestic and international transactions.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Track shipments and communicate with clients and vendors about the shipment’s progress

　　Handle claims with insurance companies if any shipment problems happen to occur

　　Receive, review and process import documentation such as air bills

　　Ensure that all contract documents are complete and conform to corporate policies and import laws/regulations

　　Create import documents and delivery order

　　Compute international fees for each shipment and keep track of shipment payments

　　Keep files of shipments

　　Issue invoices/freight releases to both international and domestic shipments

　　Obtain documents from overseas agents and customers

　　Process payments in a timely manner

　　Follow the instructions from the supervisor/manager

　　Other duties as needed

　　Qualifications/Experience

　　Min. AA degree, college degree preferred

　　No experience in logistics industry is required

　　Accurate data entry skills

　　Excellent customer service skills

　　Excellent written and verbal communication skills

　　Strong math skills

　　Proficient with Microsoft Office

　　Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

　　Ability to lift 20 lbs. unassisted
