Your career experience awaits!Automated tape laying (ATL) and automated fiber placement (AFP) are processes that use computer-guided robotics to lay several layers of carbon fiber tape or tows onto a mold to create a part or structure. Automated material placement (AMP) machines are a development of composite manufacturing technologies meant to increase production rates and product consistency. This technology can be used to manufacture complex structures that are not possible to manufacture with other methods. Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials by using standard hand layup and automated layup processes. Performs in process inspections using standard measuring equipment. Vacuum bagging into semi-finished or finished products.Primary Responsibilities:* Work from written work orders, specifications, verbal instructions or blue prints, keeping all signoffs and inspection buyoffs current* Operation of a 7 major axis Automated Material Placement Machine* Troubleshooting common machine failures* Machine setup and probing* Maintaining a 32 tow delivery system* Understand the function of CM 100 control screens* Perform basic maintenance procedures such as: CCR / Tow path cleaning, cutter blade changes, machine threading* Maintain a clean work area per daily, monthly and yearly cleanup schedules* Proper use of release agents and tool preparation.* Maintain material logs on time sensitive materials* Hand layup and vacuum bagging* Basic inspections with standard measuring equipment including laser projection* Occasional operation of forklift and bridge crane* Assist with lean activities and TPM events.DayMonday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Occasional work on elevated platforms. Solvents, carbon fiber and resin are used. Use of personal protective equipment.
