About Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) - Neonatal

  ResponsibilitiesWe are searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our neonatal intensive care APP team- someone who works well in a fast-paced - high stress setting. In this position, you will provide critical care to neonates within in our regional program. Seattle Children's provides NICU services across the Pacific Northwest in 7 institutions, ranging from Level II-IV. Neonatal APPs provide medical services for neonates with acute and chronic conditions, including independent and interdependent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, initiation of treatment, procedures, and evaluation of outcomes. The APP is involved in education, consultation, research, and evaluation of clinical practice at various NICUs. We are a highly specialized team that provides direct care and assumes responsibility for the clinical management of neonatal patients. Seattle Children's main campus NICU is a Level IV NICU with 38 beds, including ECMO management. The unit is jointly staffed with in-house neonatologists, neonatal critical care fellows and advanced practice providers who equally share patient care responsibilities. Within the community, we have three Level III NICUs and three Level II NICUs the SCH Neonatal APP team provide cares in collaboration with Neonatologists.LI-BD1RequirementsEducation:* Nurse practitioners are required to have, at minimum, a Master's Degree as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner * Physician Assistants-Certified (PA-C) are required to graduate from a nationally accredited physician assistant program. Certification and Licensure:* Neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) required for nurse practitioners* Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) required for physician assistants* NRP certification* PALS certification required within 6 months of hire if working in Seattle Children's Level IV NICU* Licensure (ARNP or PA-C) in the state of WA* DEA registration for the state of WAPreferred for NNP:- Experience in the neonatal nurse practitioner role. - Experience in a Level III NICU as a registered nurse.Preferred for PA-C:- One year work experience in a neonatal intensive care unit, Level II or higher.- Experience in the neonatal Physician Assistant role.- Experience in a Level III NICU as a PA-C.Min to Max Hourly Salary$68.70 - $92.96 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$142,902.00 - $193,347.00 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
