　　We have an exciting opportunity for an NP/PA to join our dedicated clinical team in the Neuro ICU and make a significant contribution to providing specialized quality care to our patients.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　The APP works in collaboration with the Director of the Neurocritical care unit, primary nurse and other health care providers to deliver quality care to patients with neurocritical care needs.

　　The APP applies knowledge of anatomy, principles or theories of neurology, microbiology, physiology, psychology, human disabilities, pharmacology, gerontology, human growth and development, human developmental disease, and medical terminology as appropriate in the care setting and as appropriate for level of medical licensure.

　　The APP conducts patient assessments and completes physical examinations; collects clinical data including vital signs, collecting specimens, prepares patients for tests, therapy, or treatments; orders and interprets medical laboratory test results.

　　The APP works within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and case managers. There are regular educational opportunities for the APP within the Department of Neurology and the Division of Neuro-critical Care.
