JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties The Telehealth Clinical Technician GS-7 servesas a generalist role to support Telehealth clinical programs from thepatient location. The LPN provides a wide range of clinical andtechnical services to the patient that demonstrates complex technicaljudgment under remote supervision of a registered nurse, NursePractitioner, Physician, Physician Assistant, or specialty telehealthprovider. The complexity of duties including serving as the site imagerfor SFT applications and facilitator for real time Clinical VideoTelehealth (CVT) encounters including patient education activities,patient follow-up, and specialty care remote visits. The LPN utilizestechnically complex digital medical image/data capture peripherals,including IP/streaming stethoscopes, otoscopes, high definition totalexam cameras, teleretinal imaging stations, telespirometry, and digitalcamera photography. With the VA Video Connect (VVC) Program, the LPNwill need to assist patients with the initial set up of VVC and instructproviders on VA Video Connect (VVC). This includes being able totroubleshoot audio and video connections with the patient\'s cell phones(Android and iPhone), tablets (Android and iPad), different models oflaptops, and different models of desktop computer with webcams.Additionally, the LPN provides technical and scheduling support, andother program duties as assigned. Work of considerable difficulty andresponsibility is performed under remote supervision of the FacilityTelehealth Coordinator or designee. LPN GS-7 is the Telehealth subjectmatter expert and facilitates, directly, or indirectly throughcollaboration with colleagues and co-workers at his-her work site, theclinical, administrative and business components as set forth by VHAOffice of Connected Care. The LPN GS-7 work is of considerabledifficulty and responsibility that is performed under generalsupervision. Individuals in these positions are to a considerableextent, expected to exercise independent technical judgments and topossess and apply a comprehensive working knowledge of the principles,art, and science of practical nursing. Employees at this grade leveldemonstrate broader knowledge of skill with respect to theseresponsibilities at lower grades.
