Job Description Summary
The Admission Liaison is the \"face\" of SRAlab within the referringorganizations, predominantly, acute care hospitals throughoutChicagoland area. This position represents all levels of care and asappropriate, all locations throughout the SRAlab system of care. TheLiaison must build productive professional relationships and is oftenthe first impression patients, families and referral sources experiencewith SRAlab.

Job Description
The Admission Liaison will:
Build productive professional relationships, representing andselling SRAlab rehabilitation services to various audiences withinthe referral sources, primarily physicians, hospital dischargeplanners/case managers, patients and families.Support the admission process, facilitating a smooth conversion fromreferral to admission by assessing the admission appropriateness andproviding clinical information to SRAlab while communicatingeffectively with all parties.Execute market development tactics to identify and grow new businessopportunities and volume within the assigned territory.Demonstrate deep knowledge of market dynamics as it pertains torehabilitation services and post-acute providers in the assignedterritory.Demonstrate understanding of healthcare operations, legalguidelines, and market competitive analysis and market trends.Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interestof the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.Other Responsibilities
Referral and Relationship Development:
Meet or exceed the assigned admission goals - annual, quarterly andmonthly - for rehabilitation services by establishing andmaintaining productive referral relationships with key referrer andclinical decision makers.Serve as the primary contact regarding services at SRAlab to thetargeted referral sources -for all the various customer audiencesincluding, but not limited to physicians, case managers, dischargeplanners, social workers, therapists, and key nursing roles.Create and maintain SRAlab presence in the assigned region for alltargeted referral sources according to the annual plan which mayinclude certain planned communication and public relations-relatedactivities to specific audiences and accredited educational programsto various audiences.Schedule ongoing in-services and professional presentations forreferral sources, community groups and other organizations regardingSRAlab services programs and patient outc mes.Maintain an up-to-date comprehensive understanding of the acute careand rehabilitation market in the assigned region including adetailed understanding of the rehabilitation market competitors.Clinical Support to Referral Management:
Determine medical appropriateness of patients and support theadmission process by gathering and transferring medical informationto the appropriate inpatient or DayRehab admitting teams.Meet with families/patients at the referral source to educate themon the benefits of coming to SRAlab and to ensure the referralbecomes an admission.Gather and use patient health information to assist as requestedwith treatment, payment, and healthcare operations. Closely adhereto all HIPAA guidelines and related company polices.Recognize barriers to admissions, document these barriers, respondappropriately and work with the Executive Director of MarketDevelopment to follow up on barriers to access.Administrative Responsibilities:
Participate in developing and executing the budget necessary to supportthe assigned region or cluster.
