  Job Description

  Provides executive-level administrative assistance through the performance of advanced and complex general office work and assumes considerable responsibility for office management. This position is a full-time, 12-month appointment and is located on Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Requires the ability to teach and/or work remotely at the University’s discretion.

  Responsibilities: -20% Provides administrative support for all areas of the Center for Educational Excellence and other Curriculum and Faculty Affairs positions. Serves as office manager. Develops, evaluates, and ensures adherence to office procedures. - 10% Analyze requirements for projects or initiatives. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs - 10% Schedules, coordinates, and trains student workers and support staff - 10% Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries - 10% Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives -10% Maintains and reports on the budgets for all areas of the Center for Educational Excellence and other Curriculum and Faculty Affairs positions - 10% Coordinates purchases and procurement processes for all areas of the Center for Educational Excellence and other Curriculum and Faculty Affairs positions. Tracks and coordinates internal grant awards. - 10% Assists with planning and coordination of Center events - 5% Coordinates and provides services to faculty and other stakeholders, such as trainings and poster printing - 5% Other duties as assigned

  Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience - Two years of related administrative experience

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. Interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Planning and organization skills. - Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  Salary

  Commensurate with experience

  The target base annual salary is $35,745 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
