Provides Officers with requestedinformation. Performs records checks using T.I.M.E. system. Entersvarious reports. Performs warrant entry and cancellations. Performs dataentry and record keeping functions for the department. Enters data incompliance with department policies and procedures, state statutes, andfederal law. Compiles data and prepares various reports independently.Researches information from various sources and organizes data into wordprocessing formats. Performs moderately difficult telephone answeringwork including responding to complaints and explaining departmentalprocedures and City and/or other regulations to other departments or thegeneral public. Directs telephone calls to appropriate staff. Maintainsreceipt books and makes necessary deposits. Performs a variety offollow-up activities. Checks and reviews a variety of data forcompletion and conformance with established regulations and procedures.Maintains the confidentiality of departmental practices. Preparesarticles for mailing. Performs general record keeping and filing.Assists other clerical staff with immediate assignments of moderatedifficulty. Performs other duties as assigned. ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Two ormore years full-time office experience, which includes data entryexperience. Successful completion of post high school courses inAdministrative Profesional or related field preferred. Must be able toobtain Wisconsin Department of Justice T.I.M.E. System Operatorcertification. Considerable knowledge of general office procedures.Working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation andgrammar. Considerable knowledge of filing procedures. Good skill inperforming basic mathematical computations and simple bookkeepingprocedures. Ability to handle routine work assignments independently.Ability to utilize a computer and the required software. Ability tofollow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintaineffective working relationships with staff and the public.
