Position Summary:
Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research,preparing statistical reports, handling information
requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparingcorrespondence, receiving visitors, arranging
conference calls, and scheduling meetings. May also train and superviselower-level clerical staff.
Tasks:
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements andother documents, using word processing,
spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes andemail.
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintainingrecords management systems, and
performing basic bookkeeping work.
File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board, and othermeetings.
Notarize documents for other employees as needed.
Fill in for other employees as needed.
Answer and direct phone calls.
Provide general support to visitors.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with otheremployees, superiors, other agencies, and
the public.
Deals with the public in a manner that positively promotes the image ofthe City and handles complaints tactfully.
All employees of the City of Winfield are subject to immediate calloutwhen an emergency, disaster or breach of
homeland security occurs. Such call to respond and assist may involvethose activities to his/her regular job
responsibilities and incorporate other non-job-related duties asnecessary and required of an employee. An
employees response to these matters may require the working of unusual,long hours over an extended period
of time with infrequent breaks or rest periods.

Experience and Education:
