Job Description
This position will provide support to the Security & Life Safety department at First Canadian Place, Exchange Tower, and Northbridge Place. Liaising closely with tenants in the administration of security and life safety initiatives and requirements, this position requires the highest standard of service to our Tenants and visitors by promoting the Brookfield Properties Commitment to outstanding service.
Support provided by this position will focus primarily, but will not be limited to, that provided through Access Control and Badging activities for Brookfield Properties and its tenants at First Canadian Place, Exchange Tower, and Northbridge Place.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer building access card system on behalf of First Canadian Place, Exchange Tower and Northbridge Place for all tenant and staff using the CCURE 9000 system
Processing invoices, and purchase orders
Work with the Assistant Manager of Security and Life Safety to ensure accuracy of all invoices and review with Manager of Security on monthly basis
Administer tenant Access Control Agreements, Emergency Contacts, and support LiveSafe systems
General Administrative duties including, but not limited to, department mail pick-up and delivery, ordering general office supplies, filing and other duties as assigned
GROWTH RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate and track security department budget, supporting the Coordinator and the Assistant Manager of Security and Life Safety on reforecasting budgets, staying within budget allocations as needed
Assist department with the Life Safety Inspections and reporting as needed or required
Assist the department with Health & Safety administration, with the intentions of becoming a certified member
Act as a backup for the Coordinator, Security & Life Safety during vacations etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS:
General office administration duties including but not limited to department mail pick-up and delivery, ordering office supplies, filing and other duties as assigned
Customer service orientated and service driven
Must have excellent public relations skills and effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
Professional, approachable, courteous, and diplomatic with a positive attitude
Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial for this role
Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment
Capable to work outside normal working hours when required
EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
Experience working with access control and security systems an asset
Experience working with CCURE 9000 an asset
Health & Safety Certified, an asset
EDUCATION/DESIGNATIONS/LICENSES:
Minimum Grade 12 education is required
Preference will go to those who possess post-secondary education in a security/service curriculum or work experience equivalent
