Work Schedule Monday through Friday THIS POSITION IS IN ALBANY NEW YORK. 7.5 hour work day with .5 hour unpaid lunch Paid for time worked only; there are no paid holidays, vacation, or sick days Overtime is not permitted unless authorized in advanced. Contingent Worker is required to badge in and out of the turnstiles located in the lobby for all daily entrances and exits.

Project Overview This role will support New York State Canal Corporation permits with the Corporation’s permit management system.
Job Functions & Responsibilities • Assist with digitizing and archiving physical copies of permit records with the goal of developing a single source of information for Canal permits with the Corporation’s permit management system. • Reconcile and update permittee record information using ERP software (i.e., Accela). • Assist with contacting and responding to Canal Occupancy Permittees for various concerns (e.g., insurance requirements, permit signatures and payments) via phone, email, or letter. • Track and reconcile accounts receivable of Canal real property permits. • Support new internal dunning notice process cycle using ERP software and Microsoft Office applications. This includes fielding and tracking responses from permittees that received dunning notices. (Canal Real Property Management is responsible for generating monthly dunning notices to send to permittees that are in arrears). • Provide suggestions on streamlining permit invoicing process. • Actively participate in project development and work session meetings.
Skills • Ability to collect and analyze database exports from various sources for reporting. • Excellent interpersonal communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe • Desired, but not necessary: o Experience with relational databases o Interest in developing and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint sites and document libraries.
Education & Certifications • A two-year or four-year degree in Business/Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or other related fields.
