Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant based in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role functions within the medical industry where you will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including patient reception, appointment scheduling, medical records management, and administrative support to healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff professionally
• Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
• Maintain and update patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality in both physical files and electronic health systems
• Assist in processing insurance claims, verify coverage, and handle patient billing inquiries
• Provide administrative assistance to healthcare professionals, including data entry, preparing reports, correspondence, and other office tasks
• Answer phone calls promptly, respond to inquiries, and relay messages between patients and healthcare providers
• Manage office supplies and handle basic clerical tasks to ensure a tidy and organized office environment
• Adhere to healthcare regulations and policies to ensure the facility operates within legal and ethical guidelines. Requirements • Proven experience in an Administrative Assistant role or similar
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Experience with office management systems and procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• High school diploma; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements and schedules
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
