Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable management and supervision, with the ability to lead a team and ensure accurate and timely processing of receivables. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will play a crucial role in optimizing cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead the accounts receivable team, providing guidance, training, and support.
Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment to maximize team productivity.
Invoice Processing:
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices.
Ensure invoices are generated in accordance with company policies and client agreements.
Collections Management:
Implement and maintain effective collections strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
Regularly review aging reports and work with the team to address outstanding receivables.
Customer Relations:
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries.
Maintain positive relationships with key clients to facilitate prompt payment.
Cash Application:
Supervise the accurate application of cash receipts to customer accounts.
Reconcile discrepancies and work with the team to resolve any issues related to cash application.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Provide regular updates to management on the status of receivables.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts receivable workflows.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in receivables management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounts receivable management, with a minimum of [X years] in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
