Description

Robert Half is currently seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Manager for a client in the construction industry. This is an interim position requiring a candidate with relevant industry and management experience. As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller ensuring day to day invoices are processes in a timely manner. The ideal candidate must be willing to work onsite, have excellent Microsoft Excel Skills and work well with an established team.

Job Responsibilities:

As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will manage a full cycle accounts payable desk in a fast-paced environment.

Processing, matching, batch coding of invoices, and allocating costs to the GL and job costing will take a substantial part of your time.

An important part of your duties as Accounts Payable Manager will include conducting statement reconciliations and month-end activities.

Your role will require you to verify and resolve vendor discrepancies and maintain a positive relationship with our suppliers.

In your managerial capacity, you will be expected to lead and develop the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

This is an excellent interim opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager seeking a dynamic role within the construction sector. The opportunity is located centrally in Las Vegas, and this is a contract opportunity covering a leave of absence.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in the construction industry will significantly be an advantage.

You should be familiar with full-cycle accounts payable processes including matching, batching, and coding of invoices.

Experience in job costing and general ledger applications is desirable.

Successful experience in statement reconciliation and resolving vendor discrepancies will be crucial for this role.

Excellent leadership and people management skills are essential.

The ability to handle high volume invoicing and meet tight deadlines is a must.
