Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves working in the construction industry, focusing on the processing and oversight of customer-related transactions. It also includes working from home for three days a week after a training period, with the remaining days spent in the office.

Job Duties Responsibilities:

Review and verify invoices for check requests.

Sort and code payables invoices.

Enter and upload invoices into system.

Review, approve, and process expense reports.

Prepare and perform weekly check runs.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions.

Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

Maintain vendor files.

Assist with month end closing.

Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

Additional duties as requested.

Requirements

• Proficient in Account Coding and Accounting Software Systems

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Construction, Construction Accounting, and Construction Projects - Accounting

• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Must have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
