　　Summary:

　　The Accounts Payable Specialist will work collaboratively with the Accounts Payable team and is within our Finance Department. This position is responsible for communicating with and responding to vendors in a professional manner. Working closely with the Project Management teams, the AP Specialist will also work to identify the appropriate cost for jobs. This position is crucial to our organization and the success and timeliness of a project. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the expectations of this role.

　　Five Key Roles of the Accounts Payable Specialist:  

　　Verifying and matching invoices to purchase orders/subcontractsAccurately coding and entering invoices timely for financials, job costing, and vendor paymentsReviewing vendor statements weekly, requesting missing invoices as neededManaging vendor interactions regarding invoices and vendor accountsWorking with Project Management Teams on identifying and administering job costing

　　Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

　　Tracking and documenting the status of invoicesFollowing up on invoice approvalsMaintaining routing notesAssisting in maintaining the electronic filing systemWorking collaboratively with other Finance personnel on special tasks and projectsYear-end reportingOther relevant tasks as assigned

　　Education, Experience & Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree preferred3 years of related accounting experience requiredProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to learn new systems/software

　　Travel:

　　Travel is not required for this position.

　　Work Environment:

　　As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be subject to a traditional office setting. The employee must be comfortable with sitting for an extended period.
