Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is FULLY ON SITE in Albuquerque, NM and is a temporary, 2-3 month, role. This role is centered around the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, focusing on Accounts Payable (AP), Enter Invoices, Vendor Management, Invoice Coding, and Invoice Entry.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications.

• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records.

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Match, batch, and code invoices for entry.

• Post and reconcile batches on a regular basis.

• Research and resolve any issues with accounts payable or accounts receivable with customers or vendors.

• Update and reconcile the sub-ledger to the general ledger.

• Maintain cash applications and account reconciliations.

• Handle chargebacks in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and best practices

• Demonstrated ability to enter invoices accurately and efficiently

• Experience in vendor management, including communication, negotiation, and problem-solving

• Knowledge of invoice coding and ability to apply appropriate codes to invoices

• Proficient in invoice entry and able to handle high volumes of invoices

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Relevant certification or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field would be an advantage.
