Description We are on the hunt for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our manufacturing team in Bridgeview, Illinois. The role involves managing customer credit applications, maintaining precise records, and handling credit inquiries. The successful candidate will also be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions to recover overdue payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments

• Validate invoices using SAP and VIM software and ensure they are approved for payment

• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner following the procurement to pay cycle procedures

• Adjust invoice amounts, prices, etc. in VIM/SAP as necessary

• Digitize paper invoices through data entry into the ERP system - SAP

• Ensure authorized payment of vendor invoices through data entry into an ERP system

• Use Excel for invoice validation and other processes as necessary

• Enter invoices and document scanning as part of the daily tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in entering invoices into the accounting system

• Experience in document scanning and management

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles

• Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and resolving discrepancies

• A degree in Finance, Business, or a related field would be advantageous.
