Description Robert Half has an outstanding opportunity for a short-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a premier company. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Danvers, Massachusetts area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Help with internal and external audits as required

　　Implement full-cycle A/P

　　Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

　　Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

　　Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

　　Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

　　Perform special projects as assigned

　　Provide support to internal business partners

　　Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Foundational knowledge in month end closings

　　Command of Check Runs

　　Deep understanding of accruals

　　Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

　　Great attention to detail

　　Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
