About Accounts Payable Clerk

  Description

You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The opening for a permanent Accounts Payable Clerk is in the Miami, Florida area. Finding out more about this exciting opportunity is the first step to advancing your career!

  Key responsibilities

  Assist with internal audits of all payables against vendor statements

  Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

  Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs directed with vendors

  Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

  Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

  Carry out a full-cycle A/P data entry by way of matching packing list to purchase orders

  Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  Complete special projects on an as-needed basis with the release of liens

  Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

  Training is provided for someone who has the basis fundamental of Accounting. Seeking a long term player who is comfortable with stable work life balance

  Requirements

  AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred but not required

  Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

  Highly organized and self-motivated

  Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

  3 Way Matching experience desired

  Manage Vendor Relationships experience preferred

  Deep understanding of Packing Lists

  Customer invoices experience preferred
