Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.

Handle accounts receivable duties, such as invoicing clients, posting payments, and following up on overdue accounts.

Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both electronically and in hard copy.

Support payroll processing by verifying timekeeping records and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

Assist with tax filings and compliance by preparing documentation and assisting in the calculation of tax liabilities.

Requirements

Proven experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeper, or similar role.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Certification (e.g., AAT) or coursework in accounting.

Previous experience in payroll processing and tax preparation.
