Description Robert Half is actively searching for a talented Accounting Clerk for a well-managed company. In this position, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), and general data entry. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Elgin, South Carolina area.

　　How you will make an impact

　　Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

　　Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

　　Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　Foundational knowledge in Post Payments

　　Experience with Posting Payments

　　Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Solid understanding of cash applications

　　Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

　　Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
