Description Are you looking to work at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half has an open position for an Accounting Clerk to support the daily operations of a department. The Accounting Clerk duties will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity based in the Stockton, California area.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources

　　Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

　　Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements

　　Excellent data entry skills

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Coding Invoices experience

　　Proven knowledge of journal entries

　　Well-founded grasp of Purchase Orders

　　Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)

　　Post Invoices experience

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience

　　Deep understanding of billing

　　Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

　　Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　2+ years of relevant experience
