Description

　　Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for a reputable company. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary employment based in the Mchenry, Illinois area.

　　What you get to do every day

　　Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

　　Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a wide collection of sources

　　Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Requirements - Experience with high volume data entry

　　Ability to multitask effectively

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　Proficiency in billing

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience

　　tax experience
