Kforce has a client that is seeking to hire a Accounting Associate in Springfield, Massachusetts (MA).Summary:This client is a long-running financial services company that is rapidly growing. They offer a competitive benefits package that includes a pension plan and 401K. They also pay bonuses and offer flexible hours. This role will work in a hybrid schedule.Responsibilities Include:

　　Create and present monthly financial analysis reports to senior management

　　Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles

　　Prepare financial statements, footnote schedules, and regulatory reports

　　Analyze trends and results

　　Perform reconciliations of investment data

　　Support annual audit requests

　　Implement accounting improvements that increase the business value

　　Implements new statutory and GAAP investment accounting requirements

　　Develop internal control framework to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

　　Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major

　　CPA a plus

　　4 years of experience in related field

　　2 years experience in Financial Services or Insurance Industry

　　Knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting

　　Experience with Big4 a plus

　　Strong communication skills

　　The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
